Our tenant fees explained...

As well as paying the rent, you may also be required to make the following permitted payments.

Permitted payments

Before the tenancy starts payable to Cales (‘the Agent’)
Holding Deposit: 1 week’s rent
Deposit: 5 weeks’ rent

During the tenancy (payable to the Agent)
Payment of up to £50.00 if you want to change the tenancy agreement
Payment of interest for the late payment of rent at a rate of 3% above the Bank of England base rate for each day the payment is outstanding, providing the rent has been outstanding for 14 days.
Payment of £25.00 for the reasonably incurred costs for the loss of keys/security devices in addition to the costs incurred in a locksmith attending
Payment of any unpaid rent or other reasonable costs associated with your early termination of the tenancy

During the tenancy (payable to the provider) if permitted and applicable
Utilities – gas, electricity, water
Communications – telephone and broadband
Installation of cable/satellite
Subscription to cable/satellite supplier
Television licence
Council Tax

Other permitted payments

Any other permitted payments, not included above, under the relevant legislation including contractual damages.

Tenant protection

Cales is a member of Propertymark Client Money Protection which is a client money protection scheme and a copy of the code of conduct and rules that we must adhere to is available at http://www.propertymark.co.uk/media/1045366/conduct-and-membership-rules.pdf.  A copy of our certificate is available here.  All client monies are kept in a separate, fully insured bank account.  We are also a member of The Property Ombudsman which is a redress scheme.
